TIFT Awards Twenty-two Scholarships in 2018

The Texas International Fishing Tournament and TIFT Endowment Fund Board of Directors are pleased to announce that 22 outstanding students have been selected to receive $2,000 scholarships. Each was selected on the basis of personal tournament involvement and grades.

Funds are payable to the students’ colleges and can be used only for tuition, books, lab fees, and other direct expenses at the accredited school of their choice. Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients:

Tanner Alden, daughter of Pat and Cheryl Alden, will be attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi and studying interdisciplinary studies.

Allyson Booth, daughter of Bobby and Stacey Booth, will be attending Baylor University and studying accounting/supply chain management.

Kennedy Boykin, daughter of Bo and Karen Boykin, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying construction science.

Rheagan Bryant, daughter of Daniel and Kelley Bryant, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying allied health.

Samantha Bunk, daughter of Charles and Denise Bunk, will be attending St. Mary’s University and studying athletic training or government.

Felicia Calo, daughter of Philip Calo and the late Vicki Calo, will be attending The University of Texas at Austin and studying applied movement science.

Travis Camacho, son of Alfonso Camacho III and Cherie Boudreaux Camacho, will be attending Texas State and studying biology and wildlife biology.

Grant Drabek, son of Michael and Lourdes Mclelland, will be attending Texas State Technical College (dual-enrollment) and studying biomedical sciences.

Krissanta Elizondo, daughter of B. Octavio Elizondo and Veronica Torres, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying biomedical sciences.

Carla Godinez, daughter of Donico Godinez and Nelda Vega, will be attending Texas Woman’s University and studying government – legal studies.

Jenny Gower, daughter of David Gower and Lisa Gower, will be attending Abilene Christian University, majoring in ministry and vocation and minoring in psychology.

Hannah Greer, daughter of Bill and Tammi Greer, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying agricultural economics – finance and real estate.

Joshua Layne Klostermann, son of Josh and Wyndi Klostermann, will be attending Our Lady of the Lake and studying agribusiness.

Hunter Lofton, son of Christopher and Anne Lofton, will be attending Blinn Community College in Bryan and studying business.

Alexis Pinkerton, daughter of Robert and Veronica Pinkerton, will be attending University of Texas at San Antonio and studying business marketing.

Hannah Pinkerton, daughter of Robert and Veronica Pinkerton, will be attending The University of Texas at Austin and studying business.

Matt Potts, son of John and Genevieve Potts, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying business.

Ty Rhyner, son of Buck and Stephanie Rhyner, will be attending Southwestern University in Georgetown and studying business and finance.

Ray Tarpey, son of Richard and Stephanie Tarpey, will be attending Texas A&M University Station and is interested in studying ocean engineering and mechanical engineering.

Richard Tarpey, son of Richard and Stephanie Tarpey, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying ocean engineering with a minor in oceanography.

Brighten Woods, daughter of Darryl Woods and Michelle Wilson, will be attending Angelo State University and studying nursing.

Myranda Woolly, daughter of Craig Woolly and Sandy Broadway, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying biomedical sciences.
