TIFT Awards Twenty-One Scholarships in 2017

The Texas International Fishing Tournament and TIFT Endowment Fund Board of Directors are pleased to announce that 21 outstanding students have been selected to receive $2,000 scholarships.  Each was selected on the basis of personal tournament involvement and grades.

Funds are payable to the students’ colleges and can be used only for tuition, books, lab fees, and other direct expenses at the accredited school of their choice.  Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients:

Allyson Booth, daughter of Bobby and Stacey Booth, will be attending University of Arkansas and studying business management.

Hunter Bowers, daughter of Cole and Sammi Bowers, will be attending Texas State University and studying clinical psychology and business.

Kennedy Boykin, daughter of Bo and Karen Boykin, will be attending Texas A&M University- College Station and studying construction science and minoring in agribusiness.

Connor Brunnemann, son of Mark and Melody Brunnemann, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying to become a game warden or an agricultural science teacher.

McKenzie Brunnemann, daughter of Mark and Melody Brunnemann, will be attending Texas A&M University-College Station and studying marketing.

Rheagan Bryant, daughter of Daniel and Kelley Bryant, will be attending Texas A&M University-College Station and studying to pursue a degree in the medical field.

Foley Bunk, son of Craig and Elizabeth Bunk, will be attending Baylor University and studying communications/pre-law.

Felicia Calo, daughter of Philip Calo, will be attending The University of Texas at Austin and studying child psychology.

Camryn Fridy, daughter of Dale and Kelly Fridy, will be attending Texas State University and studying nursing.

Jenny Gower, daughter of David and Lisa Gower, will be attending Abilene Christian University and studying Biblical Studies and Psychology.

Juliana Guerrero, daughter of Jaime and Lisa Guerrero, will be attending Texas A&M University-College Station and studying marketing and public relations.

Carley Hagar, daughter of Curtis and Terrie Hagar, will be attending Texas A&M University, College Station and studying biomedical science.

Chelsea Magouirk, daughter of Mark and Sandy Magouirk, will be attending Texas State Technical College and studying dental hygiene.

Alison Magouirk, daughter of Mark and Sandy Magouirk, will be attending Texas A&M University-College Station and studying allied health.  Alison will be receiving the Mike Baldree Memorial Scholarship for her role as Hostess for the 78th TIFT.

Emily McKinney, daughter of James McKinney and Sandra McKinney, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying corporate communications and marketing.

Colton Neuhaus, son of Lance and Melissa Neuhaus, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying agricultural economics.

Hannah Pinkerton, daughter of Robert and Veronica Pinkerton, will be attending University of Texas at Austin and studying business/accounting.

Alexis Pinkerton, daughter of Robert and Veronica Pinkerton, will be attending University of Texas at San Antonio and studying marketing.

Matthew Potts, son of John and Genevieve Potts, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying finance and accounting.

Nicole Schmidt, daughter of William Schmidt and Angela Garcia, will be attending Texas A&M at Galveston and studying conservation.

Myranda Woolly, daughter of Craig Woolly and Sandy Broadway, will be attending Texas A&M University and studying to become a veterinarian.
